"I just think of myself as an upstart who is trying to get better at what I do."

Film will also star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley.

Digital Spy: Richard Madden has found a duel role in his next major project — twins in Amazon Studios’ upcoming movie Killer Heat.

Killer Heat comes from filmmaker Philippe Lacôte, who will direct the movie, which is based on the 2021 Jo Nesbø short story The Jealousy Man. The story follows twin brothers who get caught up in a violent love triangle on a Greek island.

Meanwhile, a detective – The Jealousy Man –, who will be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, is called in to investigate the case. Shailene Woodley will also costar. The script is written by House of Gucci writer Roberto Bentivegna and Bridge of Spies scribe Matt Charman.

Madden, who will next be seen opposite Priyanka Chopra in Citadel, is best known for his breakout role in Game of Thrones and his starring role in Marvel’s Eternals.

That Marvel movie featured Harry Styles as Thanos’ brother Eros alongside Patton Oswalt’s Pip. There has been no official word on an Eternals 2 just yet, although last August, Oswalt stated that a second movie is happening and that Chloé Zhao is returning to direct it.

“They have announced there’s going to be an Eternals sequel. Chloé Zhao is going to direct it,” Oswalt said. “So, hopefully, there will be more adventures of Starfox and Pip.”

Marvel producer Nate Moore later teased fans that Styles would be returning to the MCU, too, explaining that they didn’t just cast Styles for a tag at the end of the movie.

“We didn’t cast Harry for a tag. [There’s] more stories to be told with that character. He has an interesting connection with Thanos; they’re half-brothers and share the same father,” Moore said.

TheHollywoodReporter: Philippe Lacôte is directing the love-triangle film for Amazon Studios, with Brad Weston producing.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley and Richard Madden are set to star in Killer Heat, a love triangle thriller from director Philippe Lacôte for Amazon Studios and Makeready.

The film is based on Norwegian crime writer Jo Nesbo’s short story The Jealousy Man, with the screen adaptation to follow twin brothers caught in a violent love triangle on a remote Greek island. A damaged local detective with a nose for jealousy is called in to investigate a murder.

Production on Killer Heat is set to start in May in Crete.

Gordon-Levitt recently appeared in Rian Johnson’s Poker Face and will next be seen in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley and John Carney’s Flora and Son. Woodley has starred in The Descendants, The Fault in Our Stars, The Spectacular Now and most recently in the series Big Little Lies.

Madden is best known for playing Robb Stark in Game of Thrones, and will next appear opposite Priyanka Chopra Jonas in Prime Video’s Citadel. Director Lacôte helmed Night of the Kings, which debuted at the Venice Film Festival and was acquired by Neon.

Roberto Bentivegna (House of Gucci) penned the script for Killer Heat, with revisions by screenwriter Matt Charman. Makeready’s Brad Weston is producing the film, with Nesbo, Niclas Salomonsson, Gordon-Levitt, Tom Karnowski and Collin Creighton executive producing, while Oscar Montemayor will associate produce.

Gordon-Levitt is represented by WME. Woodley is represented by Hyperion and Range Media Partners. Madden is represented by CAA and Anonymous Content, while Lacôte is represented by CAA.

VARIETY: Leads Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden kicked off the global tour of Prime Video series “Citadel” with its Asia Pacific premiere in Mumbai on Monday.

The series, created by Amazon Studios and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, with David Weil serving as showrunner and executive producer, revolves around independent global spy agency Citadel, which has been destroyed by syndicate Manticore. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives and have remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. The six episode series also features Lesley Manville in a pivotal role.

Chopra Jonas said: “When Jennifer Salke, who is the head of Amazon Studios, presented ‘Citadel’ to me, she wanted to create an international, global franchise – an original IP that truly connects the world. Amazon strongly believes in diversity; and true diversity is represented internationally, not just by having different skin tones, but also by hearing the way people speak, actually delving into the culture. And this show has incredible ability to span across every country and continent. So, I didn’t even know the story and I said yep, doing it.”

Madden added: “’Citadel’ has been incredibly physically demanding. But I think that’s what really drew me to it. It’s not simply a gun show or a fight sequence. This is how these two characters interact physically and how they dance together.”

Chopra Jonas has been in a candid frame of mind of late, revealing recently the reasons she quit Bollywood. During the “Citadel” media interaction in Mumbai, the actor said: “I can’t work with people I don’t like anymore. It’s really non-negotiable for me. I have to admire, look up to and like the people that I work with, like the people that I’m surrounded with. I’ve been doing this for a very long time and I want to be excited about going to work, I want to be inspired about going to work and that’s become non-negotiable for me. So when I meet the people that I’m going to work with, I take notes in a little pad. But that truly is something that as I’ve evolved become very important to me.”

Gaurav Gandhi, VP, Asia Pacific, Prime Video, said: “We are excited to open the first window to the great universe of ‘Citadel’ and thrilled that we get to host the Asia Pacific premiere in Mumbai. ‘Citadel’ is the beginning of a new, ambitious, landmark franchise – one built on a completely original IP – with interconnected stories that traverse the globe. This is an amazing way to create a really diverse global community of storytellers, and make entertainment truly borderless.”

Sushant Sreeram, country director, Prime Video, India, added: “With ‘Citadel,’ we are building an interconnected universe that takes borderless entertainment up a notch. Each ‘Citadel’ series is locally created, produced and filmed in-region, and stars top talent, forming a distinct global franchise. We are thrilled to be a part of the global ‘Citadel’ universe and build this franchise together with an Indian instalment that is currently in production.”

Two episodes of “Citadel” will stream from April 28 with one episode rolling out weekly through May 26.

Sorry, these are late. I had RL stuff going on but I’m back online now!

YAY! Its so good to see Richard out in public again. He’s been way too quiet this year.

Richard Madden receives the Giffoni Experience Award: “Working in Italy has been one of the best experiences of my career”

GIFFONI FILM FESTIVAL The day of Richard Madden at the Giffoni Film Festival ends with the tears of the Scottish actor who, from the stage of the Sala Truffaut, received the Giffoni Experience Award and said goodbye – rigorously in Italian – to the jurors: “I’m sure that, in the future, I will work with someone who is here in this hall”. Immediately after the customary selfie, the 36-year-old interpreter did not leave the Cittadella del cinema, as his colleagues often do, but put down the award in the car, and returned on the blue carpet continuing to say goodbye to the audience between photographs and autograph.

Shortly before, he explained to the giffoners the reasons of his affection towards Italy: “Working here has been one of the best experiences of my career. And I don’t say it just because food is good, or rather, too good, but also because tricolour productions are the most prone to improvisation and the most adept at solving problems. If you consider, instead, the American ones, the tone is totally different: everything is classified, meticulous, with countless tests to obtain perfection, but I much prefer the Italian method because it represents me best”.

The interpreter of Robb Stark of Games of Thrones, has no doubt: “On the subject of social inequalities, this Festival is in the right track, because it brings together, in the same place, people from far and wide… here the social class makes no difference”. Precisely with regard to his iconic role of King in the North and to his farewell in the episode of the Red Wedding, he said: “In that moment, after living side by side with the character for almost five years, this was the last shot, a substantial parallelism between the life on the set and my own life. It was a full-fledged farewell, which has made the moment less traumatic but also more realistic. At that moment, I really said goodbye to my friends and colleagues who, during the filming, have become my family”.

So sorry these took so long. I waited for a 4K quality then redid them twice trying to get a better copy. I’m still not satisfied with them. As soon as I can get a better copy that isn’t so dark, I will post them as soon as I can.
